Free Seeds From The Littlehampton Town Show Committee

Spring is here and the Littlehampton Town Council has confirmed that, all being well, The Littlehampton Town Show and Family Fun Day will be taking place on Saturday 11 September at Rosemead Park.

The Town Show Committee want to encourage everyone to get planting by giving away a selection of vegetable and flower seeds to local people living in BN16 and BN17. Stocks are limited so it will be on a first come first serve basis. To obtain your seeds and be added to our newsletter emailing list send your name and address, including post code, to littlehamptontownshow@gmail.com

Alan Humphrey, Show Manager for the Town Show said “It’s good news that the show is planned to go ahead so long as the current situation improves. To help with entries we propose to give a few seeds away to members of the public.

“I know from my own experience that looking around flower shows in the past and you think I can do better but I just needed a little push to take the plunge and enter so now is the chance to do just that with a few free seeds that correspond to various classes from the schedule.

“Good luck to all and remember you can always ask for advice from Members of the Town Show Committee.”

Pete Buckley, Chairman added “This year more than any other I think the general public need an event such as this to give the opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a day out together.  To enjoy the sun, the smiles, the laughter and share in a day together.

“The supply of a few free seeds will hopefully be the little nudge required to get involved in submitting an entry or more into the Town Show.   Buy more seeds (they are relatively cheap) and experience the fun of taking part.”

The Schedule for the 2021 show will hopefully be printed in the coming weeks and will be available to pick up locally and to view on our website. Whether you’re into growing veg, crafting, baking or flower arranging, there is a category for you to enter, so keep an eye out for the schedule. And don’t forget there are Group categories, which can be entered by Schools, Guides, Scout groups, Quiz teams or Families.
